- How did the film make you feel? (excited, intrigued, happy etc)
- In your opinion, what was the most striking element of the film?
The most striking element for me was the part when the elephant lady was going into the mans chest.
- List three other things that you found interesting?
Another thing that I found interesting was when the lady was walking through an image. I'm not sure what the image was exactly but it kind of looked like a dead elephant. I also found the part at the end with the women in a pyramid striking because there was an eye above them. The third part in the film that also striked me was when there was around 5 of the same women dancing oddly.
- What meaning did you think the artist was trying to convey?
I think the artist was trying to convey the old kinds of circus' which consisted of freak shows and people with disabilities. I think he was trying to give a freaky sort of feel with the music and the old quality kind of imagery.
- What is your overall impression of the film’s mood?
The overall mood that I received from the short film was a kind of creepy and confused impression.
- Did sound play an important part in your response to the film?
Yes, I think that the sound made the whole short even for creepy because it sort of had a scary circus kind of feel.
- What comments can you make about the animators technique? (i.e. was it simple, complicated, smooth, jerky etc)
The animators technique was very jerky and complicated. It had lots of things happening all at once.
- Do you think that this animation would have been well planned?
I would think it would have to have been well planned because there was so much needed in the film. It was also very well done so I would think that they planned very well.
Digitopia
- How did the film make you feel? (excited, intrigued, happy etc)
It made me feeling intrigued but still confused.
- In your opinion, what was the most striking element of the film?
The most striking element of this short film was that nearly everything was either made of the human hand or had a hand involved somehow.
- List three other things that you found interesting?
The first thing I found interesting was the arms coming out of the mountains with sticks in the palms. I also found the sun with the eye in the middle and the arms attached around the sides of it interesting too. The last thing I found interesting was when a hand had arrows pointing at different areas of the hand with pictures of human organs and body parts on them, and that if the hand was a person, the body parts would have been in the right places.
- What meaning did you think the artist was trying to convey?
To be honest I was not sure what the artist was trying to convey. I think it had something to deal with the human hands creating and destroying different things in the film.
- What is your overall impression of the film’s mood?
My overall impression of the film's mood was very busy and to be honest, confusing.
- Did sound play an important part in your response to the film?
I think that the sound played a part in the film as the words of the song consisted of the main word "Utopia", which was similar to the title and has some sort of meaning to the film.
- What comments can you make about the animators technique? (i.e. was it simple, complicated, smooth, jerky etc)
I think that the animators technique was complicated and smooth.
- Do you think that this animation would have been well planned?
I think that the animation was well planned because it seemed life it had a lot of hidden messages throughout the whole film and it looked very detailed.
Factory

It made me feel kind of interested and puzzled.
- In your opinion, what was the most striking element of the film?
The most striking element of the film for me is that the machines in the factory weren't actual real machines.
- List three other things that you found interesting?
The first thing I found interesting was the use of replacing the claw machine with a hand. The other thing I found interesting was The way that the people were using giant wrenches and tools like that as machine hinges. I also found the part when all of the workers were walking into the giant factory very interesting and cool looking.

I have no idea what the artist was trying to convey to be totally honest, even though this film made me interested.

My overall impression of the films mood was confusion and unique.

Not really. The only sound effects in the film were just machine kind of noises.
- What comments can you make about the animators technique? (i.e. was it simple, complicated, smooth, jerky etc)
I think short was very complicated. It looked like it had layer upon layer of images to make the machines. It was also very jerky.
- Do you think that this animation would have been well planned?
This film would have definitely been planned well as it was so complicated and had so many images put together to make one thing.
